I have an ongoing interest in algorithmic management, particularly related to gig work, platform work, and on-demand work. I'm currently working on a empirical manuscript investigating alienation and algorithmic management.
As part of my interest in algorithmic work, I have also published research related to platform strategy and platform-based 'sharing economy' business models.

I am a passionate qualitative scholar, netnographer, and interested in the future of qualitative research.
Along with my co-authors Deborah Brewis and Katharina Chudzikowski, I have a current research stream focused on the hidden and devalued digital dirty work, like content moderation, that sustains digital infrastructure.
